19740514 r-74-11R E S 0 L U T I 0 N No. R-74-11 WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax, Virginia, entered into a tri-party agreement with the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Highways and Loudoun County on March 2, 1971 to construct a new roadway to replace an existing road to be inundated by a new reservoir; and WHEREAS, the City is required by Section 1, Paragraph E, Page 2 of the Agreement, to provide a good marketable fee simple title or other acceptable title satisfactory to the Commonwealth, together with necessary slope and drainage easements; and WHEREAS, the City has secured the necessary fee simple title to the land, necessary quit claim deeds from Virginia Electric and Power Company and Tri-County Electric Cooperative, and necessary slope and drainage easements; and WHEREAS, the City is now desirous of transferring its interest in this roadway to the Commonwealth of Virginia; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Fairfax be authorized to execute the deed of transfer and quit claim deed to the Common- wealth of Virginia on behalf of the City.
