RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING TENTH ANNIVERSARY
OF OPENING OF CENTRAL LIBRARY BUILDING
IN FAIRFAX CITY
WHEREAS July, 1972, marks the tenth anniversary of the
opening of the Central Library building in Fairfax City; and
WHEREAS a celebration of this anniversary is planned including
a birthday cake, activities for citizens of all ages and displays and
exhibits; and
WHEREAS the City Council recognizes that the Library has
played a significant role in enriching the lives of our city residents
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Council express the thanks of all citizens of the city to the Fairfax County
Public Library for the many contributions of that organization to our
city and endorse and urge citizen participation in the activities planned
to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the opening of the Central
Library building in Fairfax City.
