MENTAL HEALTH STAFFING GRANT

WHEREAS, The Fairfax-Falls Church Mental Health Center Advisory
Board, Incorporated, has in accordance with the provision
of P.L. 89-105, Title II, Community Mental Health Centers,
applied for a Staffing Grant for the North County Mental
Health Center; and
WHEREAS, there is urgent need for expanded community based mental
health services as set forth in the grant application; and
WHEREAS, the applicant and the applicant's operating agency, The
Fairfax-Falls Church Mental Health Center, have shown an
informed concern in designing community mental health
services to meet current and anticipated needs and for the
past quarter century has delivered mental health services
to the community's citizens;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Fairfax City Council does
hereby endorse the application of the Fairfax-Falls Church
Mental Health Center Advisory Board, Incorporated, for a
Staffing Grant to support the community mental health services
to be provided by the North County Mental Health Center.
