BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA AS FOLLOWS:
The Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Highways is hereby requested
to undertake the following projects:
1. Main Street from Estel Road to Roberts Road

¢~' b) Reconstruct the median drainage areas on Burke Station Road.
c) At Estel Road, tighten median area to provide more positive di-
rectional control.
Chain Bridge Road at Norman Avenue
Install a traffic signal and other necessary facilities at the inter-
section of Route 123 and the service roads in the vicinity of the North
city limits.
Lee Highway at Jermantown Road
a) Provide a left turn lane for Lee Highway eastbound and westbound.
b) Improve radius on the northeast quadrant to provide clear sight
distance.

Cut back median opening to allow for proper turning radius from
Lee Highway. ~
4. Main Street at Pickett Road
.................. a)J~ide~ the southbound approach on Pickett Road~to establish a free
right turn lane. Provide signs and markings to allow for two-lane
left turns onto Main Street.
b) Install "Z" type span wire installation.
c) Install three-phase, full-actuated controller with phase skip,
phase overlap capability.
