CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA
AMENDED FINAL RESOLUTION FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS IN THE FAIRFAX WOODS
AND B.F.A. MYERS SUBDIVISIONS (SW/CG-5)
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted"Policies and Procedures for local
Assessment Projects" on June 20, 1967; amended dune 17, 1969; and
WHEREAS, after due notice to the affected property owners and a public
hearing held in accordance with law and adopted policies, the City Council of the
City of Fairfax, Virginia, on June 2, 1970, authorized certain improvements for
which assessments may be made and caused an abstract of a resolution showing the
estimated amount to be assessed against each landowner to be docketed in the Clerk's
Office of the Circuit Court of Fairfax County, Virginia; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works took the necessary action and
completed the construction of the public improvements which included new curb and
gutter, sidewalk, pavement widening and storm drainage on portions of Warwick Avenue,
Burrows Avenue, Meredith Drive, and Hill Street in accordance with the plans that
were prepared.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the affected property owners listed below
be assessed an amount computed in accordance with adopted policies based on actual
project cost, but not exceeding the estimated assessment recorded at DB-3312, Page
170 among the land records of Fairfax County, Virginia
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the final resolution adopted by the City Council
on September 21, 1971, and recorded at DB-3509, Page 642 among the land records of
Fairfax County, Virginia, be amended to show corrections to the actual assessment as
shown below.
