CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA
FINAL RESOLUTION FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS ON LEE HIGHWAY
SW/CG-12
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted "Policies and Procedures for Local
Assessment Projects" on June 20, 1967, amended June 17, 1969; and
WHEREAS, after due notice to the affected property owners and a public
hearing held in accordance with law and adopted policies, the City Council of the
City of Fairfax, Virginia, on January 19, 1971, authorized certain improvements for
which assessments may be made and caused an abstract of a resolution showing the
estimated amount to be assessed against each landowner to be docketed in the Clerk's
Office of the Circuit Court of Fairfax County, Virginia; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works took the necessary action and
completed the construction of a sidewalk on a portion of Rt. 123 and from Rt. 123
to six hundred and fifty (650') feet'west on the north side of Lee Highway, in
accordance with the plans that were prepared.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the affected property owners listed below
be assessed an amount computed in accordance with adopted policies based on actual
project cost, but not exceeding the previously recorded estimate.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the resolution adopted by the City Council
on January 19, 1971, and recorded at DB 3393, page 413, among the land records of
Fairfax County, Virginia, be amended to show the actual assessment as shown below.
