WHEREAS, the City has duly advertised for bids for Sanitary
Sewer 0utfalls Contracts No. 67-2 and No. 67-3 in strict compli-
ance with law and the orders of this Council, thus enabling
everyone interested in bidding on said contracts to present a
proposal in connection therewith; and
WHEREAS, all bids have been received and duly considered,
the substance of the best bid being $..602,198.45 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It and It Is Hereby Resolved by the
Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, as follows:
Section 1. That upon being advised in the premises it is
hereby determined that the bid of Nance and Volpe, Incorporated,
for construction of Sanitary Sewer
0utfalls Contracts No. 67-2 and No. 67-3 for a total price of
$ 602,198.45 is the lowest bid by a responsible bidder and
said contracts are hereby awarded to Nance and Volpe, Incorporate~
Section 2. Following approval of performance and payment
bonds by the City Attorney pursuant to law and execution of the
contract documents by the Contractor, the Mayor is hereby author-
ized to execute said documents on behalf of the City.
