CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA
RESOLUTION FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS IN THE FAIRFAX HIGH SCHOOL AREA (SW/CG-3)
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted "Policies and Procedures for Local
Assessment Projects" on June 20, 1967, amended June 17, 1969; and
WHEREAS, after due notice to the affected property owners and a public
hearing held in accordance with law and adopted policies, the City Council of
the City of Fairfax, Virginia, on March 5, 1968, authorized certain improvements
for which assessments may be made and caused an abstract of a resolution showing
the estimated amount to be assessed against each landowner to be docketed in the
Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of Fairfax County, Virginia; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works took the necessary action and
completed the construction of said improvements including new curb and gutter,
sidewalk, pavement widening and storm drainage on portions of Lee Highway, Walnut
Street, Fairchester Drive, and Cedar Avenue in accordance with the plans that were
prepared.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the affected property owners listed below
be assessed an amount computed in accordance with adopted policies based on actual
project cost, but not exceeding the previously recorded estimate.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the resolution adopted by the City Council
on March 5, 1968, and recorded at DB 3162, page 41, among the land records of
Fairfax County, Virginia, be amended to show the final assessment as shown below:
