BE IT RESOLVED that The City of Fairfax Highway Safety
Commission be established consisting of nine Council-appointed
members, who shall be residents of the City of Fairfax; and
whose term of office shall be limited to two y~ars.
The Commission shall be comprised of four citizens and a
representative from each of the following:
The City Council
The Municipal Court
The Police Department
The Medical Profession
A Local School Group
The Commission shall be charged with the responsibility for
recommending to the Council plans for the formulation of a
highway safety program for the City of Fairfax, and with the
responsibility for a periodic review of the operation and effect
i of such program; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Commission shall meet a
minimum of four times each year and that the Commission shall
have no power of law enforcement or authority to expend public
funds.
