R-69-17
WHEREAS, David T. Rhodes has participated for thirteen years
in unselfish community service with the Fairfax Volunteer Fire
Department; and
WHEREAS, for the last seven years, as Fairfax Volunteer
Department Fire Chief, he has guided the Department to a high
calibre fire suppression program; and
WHEREAS, under his dedicated leadership, the Department has
expanded its services to meet the rapidly-increasing demands of
the City during this period, through improved facilities, equipment,
and an enlarged complement of thoroughly trained personnel; and
WHEREAS, his Department's record of achievement has been
heartily appreciated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Fairfax, Virginia, on behalf of the citizens of this City,
extends sincere thanks and gratitude to David T. Rhodes and expresses
deep regret on his departure from the City.
