RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Highways has prepared preliminary
plans for improvements to North Street from Route 237 (East Street) to West Street
to accommodate westbound traffic carried by Route 236 (Main Street) between these
points in accordance with the Fairfax City Council resolution of September 27,
1966; and
WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Highways held a public hearing in
the City Hall of Fairfax on March 25, 1969 for this project designated as
Project 0236-151-101, P.E. 101, RW 202, C502; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Fairfax has reviewed the transcript of said
public hearing;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Fair-
fax hereby requests the Virginia Department of Highways to proceed with the
preparation of plans and construction of this project as presented, giving due
consideration to comments received at the aforementioned public hearing.
