19690121 r-69-1RE S OLUT I ON R-69-1 WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHERE AS, on September 22, 1968, ROSCOE HECTOR CALL, a resident of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, did, at the risk of his life and without regard for his personal safety, enter a burning building in search of what was believed to be several children; and ROSCOE HECTOR CALL did thereby perform a heroic act in the rescue of Brent Kendrick, whose life can be attributed to this determined action; and The city of Fairfax, virginia, wishes to spread the record of this deed upon its permanent records, that it may be marked with pride by this and future generations; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the city Council of the city of Fairfax, Virginia, does hereby commend ROSCOE HECTOR CALL for his act of heroism and its influence for good among the members of this community; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that signification of this act become a permanent part of the records of the city of Fairfax, Virginia, and that same be delivered unto ROSCOE HECTOR CALL forthwith · ADOPTED: January 21, 1969 / Attest: CLty Clerk
