WHEREAS, the virginia General Assembly adopted cer-
tain legislation in its 1968 session requiring every city to
have a local highway safety commission appointed by the govern-
ing body thereof to perform certain functions; and
WHEREAS, by resolution, the Council of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia, on December 5, 1967, created, a Public Traffic
Safety Committee to perform such functions;
THEREFORE, be it resolved that the name of the Public
Traffic Safety Committee heretofore appointed, be changed to
The City of Fairfax Highway Safety Commission, and that the said
resolution adopted on December 5, 1967, be continued in full
force and effect in all other respects.
