AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10 (BUILDINGS AND BUILDING
REGULATIONS), ARTICLE I (IN GENERAL), SECTION 10-5 OF THE CODE OF
THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA PERTAINING TO THE RESIDENTIAL
RENTAL INSPECTION PROGRAM.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that Chapter 10,
Article I, Section 10-5 of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, is hereby amended, in part, as
follows:
"Sec.10-5. — Residential rental inspection program established.
(a)(5)a. Rental inspection districts established and designated. Based upon the findings of
city council as set forth in this section, the following rental inspection districts are hereby
established and designated (and any rental inspection districts previously designated are
hereby deleted as applicable), which districts shall be subject to the requirements of this
section:

Census tract identification is taken from the U.S. Bureau of the Census 2010 2020 census
maps.
(i) Penalty for violation of section. Any person violating any provision of this section
shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not more than $58:00. 150.00."
This ordinance shall be effective as provided by law.
