R-18-06RESOLUTION NO. R-18-06 Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Enter Into a Funding Agreement with Fairfax County and George Mason University for the Route 123 Bike share Feasibility Study WHEREAS, the Route 123 corridor between Burke Lake Park and Route 7 has numerous low stress on -street bicycle routes and trails and connections to transit as well as George Mason University's Fairfax Campus and destinations in the City of Fairfax; and WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax (City), Fairfax County (County) and George Mason University (Mason) are committed to exploring the feasibility of launching a Bike share system in the Route 123 corridor between Burke Lake Park and Route 7; and WHEREAS, the City, the County and Mason are committed to entering into an agreement to equally fund and conduct the Route 123 Bike share Feasibility Study; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia that the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Funding Agreement for the Route 123 Bike share Feasibility Study with Fairfax County and George Mason University, provided that the final form of such Funding Agreement is acceptable as to form to the City Attorney.
