Resolution Confirming the City Manager's Authority to Sign Agreements between the
City and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT)
WHEREAS, the City receives funding from the Virginia Department of Transportation
(VDOT) for transportation improvements within the City; and
WHEREAS, VDOT has a Standard Project Administration Agreement that establishes the
terms and conditions of the funding with local governments; and
WHEREAS, this Standard Project Administration Agreement is used for projects
administered through VDOT including the Congestion Mitigation and Air
Quality (CMAQ) Program, Regional Surface Transportation (RSTP) Program,
Revenue Sharing, Six Year Improvement Program, and the Primary Extension
Paving Program.
WHEREAS, the City is required to execute these agreements in order to receive the funding.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia that the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign agreements
between the City and the Virginia Department of Transportation.
