Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Sign the Programmatic Project
Administration Agreement Extension for Revenue Sharing Projects and provide
funding assurance to VDOT for these projects.
WHEREAS, the City's current Programmatic Project Administration Agreement (PPAA)
for Revenue Sharing projects is set to expire at the end of FY 16; and
WHEREAS, VDOT has developed an extension that will add three years to the PPAA; and
WHEREAS, the PPAA is for projects that are funded solely with revenue sharing funds; and
WHEREAS, the City is required to execute this agreements in order to continue to receive
the funding; and
WHEREAS, VDOT has also requested that the City provide assurance of its commitment to
fund approved Revenue Sharing projects pursuant to the terms in the PPAA;
and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia that the City hereby commits to fund its local share of preliminary
engineering, right-of-way and construction (as applicable) of the project(s)
under agreement with the Virginia Department of Transportation in accordance
with the project financial document(s).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager is authorized to execute all
agreements and/or addendums for any approved projects with the Virginia
Department of Transportation.
