EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE SUPPLEMENTAL GRANT
WHEREAS the mission of the Emergency Operation Center is to act as the center for
supporting disaster operations, and;
WHEREAS to adequately support this mission the center needs to have electrical power
during power outages, and;
WHEREAS the Commonwealth of Virginia has awarded the City of Fairfax, Virginia that
the City Manager and his designees are hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the
named applicant, a public entity established under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia,
any actions necessary for the purpose of obtaining federal financial assistance provided by the
Federal Emergency Management Agency and sub -granted through the Commonwealth of
Virginia as described above.
