Resolution Approving the City's Applications to the Virginia Department of
Transportation for FY 17 Revenue Sharing Funding
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax desires to submit an application for an allocation of funds of
up to $5,220,552 through the Virginia Department of Transportation Fiscal Year FY 17
Revenue Sharing Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax intends to provide an equal amount in local match; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia that the City Council hereby supports this application for an allocation of $5,220,552
through the Virginia Department of Transportation Revenue Sharing Program for the
following eight projects.
1. Kamp Washington - $780,000
2. Northfax - $887,093
3. Chain Bridge Road Sidewalk Construction — $550,459
4. Main Street Entrance at Pickett Shopping Center - $150,000
5. Old Town Spot Sidewalk Widening - $250,000
6. Government Center Parkway Extension - $1,575,000
7. Roadbed Reconstruction (Fairfax Blvd) - $750,000
8. Street Paving (Various Streets) - $278,000
