AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE II, SECTION 2-31, OF THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, PERTAINING TO THE SALARIES
FOR THE MAYOR AND THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that Chapter 2,
Article II, Section 2-31, of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, is hereby amended to
read as follows:
Sec. 2-31. - Compensation of mayor and members of city council.
The following compensation for services shall be paid to the mayor and members of the city
council:
(1) The mayor shall be paid an annual salary of $6,500.08 $13,000.00.
(2) Each member of the city council shall be paid an annual salary of $4,500.00 $12,000.00.
This ordinance shall become effective as provided by law, on July 1, 2016.
