R-15-39RESOLUTION NO. R-15-39 Resolution Approving the City's Submission to the Virginia Department of Transportation for FY 16 HB2 Funding WHEREAS, the Commonwealth is now accepting applications for FYI HB2 funding. HB2 requires the Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) to utilize a prioritization process for making funding decisions for the statewide Six Year Program; and WHEREAS, projects will be scored on six factors, and in Northern Virginia (and Hampton Roads) congestion mitigation, which is one of the six factors, is required to be the highest weighted factor; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia that the City Council hereby approves the submission to the Virginia Department of Transportation for HB2 funding for the two projects listed below in priority order for a total of $13,150,000. 1. Government Center Parkway Extension: $3,150,000 2.
