A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING AMENDMENT OF THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA TO
CHANGE THE FUTURE LAND USE FROM BUSINESS COMMERCIAL TO
MIXED USE FOR THE PROPERTY IDENTIFIED AS CITY OF FAIRFAX
TAX MAP PARCELS 58-2-10-01-001 THROUGH 58-2-10-01-007,58-2-10-001-
B, 58-2-10-001-C AND 58-2-10-02-001-A.
WHEREAS, IDI-RJL Development, LLC, has requested an amendment to the land use map
to include City of Fairfax tax map parcels 58-2-10-01-001 through 58-2-10-01-007, 58-2-10-
001-B, 58-2-10-001-C and 58-2-10-02-001-A designated as business commercial and
recommended for mixed use; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after carefully considering the request and the testimony
received at public hearing, has determined that the proposed amendment is proper and in
accordance with the applicable provisions of law, the City Code and the Comprehensive Plan
guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the City Council on September 8, 2015 adopted a resolution, pursuant to `:15.2
2225 of the Code of Virginia, recommending approval of the amendment to the
Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after carefully considering the testimony received at public
hearing, the recommendation from the Planning Commission and the recommendation from
staff, has determined that the proposed amendment is proper and in accordance with the
applicable provisions of law;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council does hereby approve an
amendment to the City of Fairfax Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use map for a
designation as Mixed Use for tax map parcels 58-2-10-01-001 through 58-2-10-01-007, 58-2-
10-001-B, 58-2-10-001-C and 58-2-10-02-001-A.
This resolution shall be effective as provided by law.
