Resolution Approving the City's Applications to the Virginia Department of
Transportation for FY 16 Revenue Sharing Funding
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax desires to submit an application for an allocation of funds of
up to $8,395,000 through the Virginia Department of Transportation Fiscal
Year FY 16 Revenue Sharing Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax intends to provide an equal amount in local match; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia that the City Council hereby supports this application for an allocation
of $8,395,000 through the Virginia Department of Transportation Revenue
Sharing Program for the following eight projects.
1. Northfax - $5,000,000
2. Chain Bridge Road Sidewalk Construction—$550,000
3. Roberts Road Sidewalk Construction—$310,000
4. Burke Station Road Sidewalk Construction—$55,000
5. Draper Signal Upgrade— $125,000
6. Traffic Signal Battery Backup—$55,000
7. Cedar Street Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk- $300,000
8. Old Lee Highway Design and Construction - $2,000,000
