RESOLUTION TO CANCEL THE ROADWAY RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
(ROUTE 50 DRAPER DRIVE TO FAIRFAX CIRCLE), DESIGNATE THE KAMP
WASHINGTON PROJECT AS A REVENUE SHARING PROJECT AND
REALLOCATE THE REVENUE SHARING FUNDS FROM THE ROADWAY
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT (VDOT UPC 104232) TO THE KAMP
WASHINGTON PROJECT (VDOT UPC 71614).
WHEREAS, the City received Revenue Sharing funding for a Roadway Reconstruction
Project from Route 50 Draper Drive to Fairfax Circle (VDOT UPC 104232);
and
WHEREAS, the City had enough funding under another project to complete the scope of
work for the Roadway Reconstruction Project from Draper Drive to Fairfax
Circle; and
WHEREAS, the Kamp Washington project (VDOT UPC 71614) has a funding deficit; and
WHEREAS, in order for the Kamp Washington project to receive Revenue Sharing funding,
the City must first designate the project as a Revenue Sharing project; and
WHEREAS, once the Kamp Washington project is designated as a Revenue Sharing project,
the City may request that VDOT reallocate the $528,000 in Revenue Sharing
funds from the Roadway Reconstruction project (VDOT UPC 104232) to the
Kamp Washington Project (VDOT UPC 71614).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia that the City requests that VDOT cancel the Roadway
Reconstruction Project from Draper Drive to Fairfax Circle (VDOT UPC
104232) and designate the Kamp Washington project (VDOT UPC 71614) as
a Revenue Sharing project and then reallocate the Revenue Sharing Funds
from the Roadway Reconstruction project (VDOT UPC 104232) to the Kamp
Washington project (VDOT UPC 71614).
