APPROVAL OF A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH US BANCORP GOVERNMENT
LEASING & FINANCING FOR THE LEASE/PURCHASE OF TWELVE VEHICLES
AND PIECES OF EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the FY2015 Capital Budget including the
lease-purchase of artificial turf for Fairfax High School's athletic field and fourteen (14)
replacement vehicles and pieces of equipment with annual payments of $329,922.49 to be
paid for five consecutive years, subject to annual appropriation by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, these vehicles, pieces of equipment, and synthetic turf are needed to
replace current inventory that has exceeded its current useful life;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia, that the City Manager is authorized and directed to finalize and execute any
necessary documentation in connection with the above-referenced transaction, in form
approved by the City Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia hereby approves and ratifies each of the resolutions contained in that certain
Resolution and Certificate of Incumbency to the extent not already contained within this
resolution.
