R-14-55 RESOLUTION NO. R-14-55
A RESOLUTION EXPANDING THE CITY OF FAIRFAX HUMAN
SERVICES COMMITTEE TO INCLUDE THE CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE TO THE
FAIRFAX COUNTY LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council recognize the inherent benefit of citizen
input to the effective delivery of a wide spectrum of human services provided contractually to
the citizens of the City of Fairfax; and
WHEREAS, the individual representatives of the City on regional and county boards
and commissions have benefited from the regular opportunity for collaboration provided
through the City's Human Services Committee; and
WHEREAS, the meetings of the Human Services Committee have afforded the
individual representatives to regional boards and commissions with a forum to enhance and
support their positions on behalf of the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Library is under the purview of the Fairfax County Deputy County
Administrator for Human Services and overseen by the City's Human Services Coordinator,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council do
hereby expand the membership of the City of Fairfax Human Services Committee to include
the City's representative to the Fairfax County Library Board of Trustees.
