R-14-48 RESOLUTION NO. R-14-48
ADOPTION OF ROBERT'S RULES OF ORDER
WHEREAS,the City Council desires to conduct its meetings in an efficient and legal
manner;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby adopts
Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised(11th Edition) as its rules of procedure governing
parliamentary matters. Notwithstanding Robert's Rules, however, a Motion for
Reconsideration shall be proper through the next regularly scheduled meeting of the City
Council. These rules shall apply except in cases in which they are inconsistent with the
procedures of the City Council.
