APPROVAL AN AMENDMENT OF THE CURRENT CONTRACT WITH
SUNTRUST BANK TO INCLUDE A LEASE AGREEMENT FOR THE
LEASE/PURCHASE OF FIFTEEN VEHICLES AND PIECES OF EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the FY2014 Capital Budget including the
lease-purchase of fifteen (15) replacement vehicles and pieces of equipment with annual
payments of$222,782 to be paid for five consecutive years, subject to annual appropriation
by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, these vehicles and pieces of equipment are needed to replace the
following current inventory that has exceeded its current useful life:
1998 Van
1986 Leaf Truck
1990 Flush Truck
1999 Brush Truck
2002 Trash Truck
2000 Bobcat
1999 Full Size Pick-Up Truck
2006 Tahoe
1997 HD Pick-Up Truck
1999 Full Size Pick-Up Truck
2006 Crown Vic
2003 Suburban
2003 Small Pick-Up Truck
98 Air Comp
Pavement Breaker
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia, that the City Manager is authorized and directed to finalize and execute any
necessary documentation in connection with the above-referenced transaction, in form
approved by the City Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia hereby approves and ratifies each of the resolutions contained in that certain
Resolution and Certificate of Incumbency to the extent not already contained within this
resolution.
