R-13-32 RESOLUTION NO. R-13-32
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LEGAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH TIE
CITY ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, Section 9.2 of the Charter of the City of Fairfax, Virginia(the "Charter")
provides that the City Council shall appoint a duly licensed attorney as the City Attorney of
the City and that such individual shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to confirm, and reaffirm, its appointment of the
current City Attorney and to authorize the execution of a new legal services agreement with
the City Attorney relating to the cost of legal services to be provided.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax,that Brian J. Lubkeman, Esq., an attorney at law licensed to practice under the laws of
the Commonwealth of Virginia, shall continue as City Attorney; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, that the
legal services agreement with the City Attorney, as discussed with the City Attorney in closed
meeting, and as attached to this resolution, be and hereby is approved, and the City Manager
is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City.
