AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF
45.9848 ACRES OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY
LOCATED ON BRADDOCK ROAD IN FAIRFAX COUNTY
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax owns 45.9848 acres of unimproved
land located on Braddock Road just east of the University of Virginia
Sewage Lift Station, in Fairfax County, Virginia, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fairfax deems it in
the best interest of the City to sell or exchange the said property in
order to acquire other property for park or other City purposes, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and considered a bona
fide appraisal of the fair market value of its said property furnished by
a competent real estate appraiser,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby Ordained that the Council of the
City of Fairfax shall forthwith proceed to sell or exchange the said
45.9848 acres of land for an amount not below Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
($200,000.00) in net value to the City, and upon such terms and conditions
as Council may deem appropriate.
