AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A FIRST
AMENDMENT TO THE GROUND LEASE DATED JUNE 9, 1992 BY AND
BETWEEN THE CITY OF FAIRFAX,VIRGINIA, AND THE FAIRFAX POLICY
YOUTH CLUB,INC. FOR A PORTION OF PROVIDENCE PARK, LOCATED AT
10615 CANFIELD STREET, TAX MAP NO. 57-3-01-007
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX,
VIRGINIA (hereinafter referred to as "CITY") that the City Manager is hereby
authorized and directed to execute, with the concurrence of the City Attorney, a First
Amendment to Ground Lease, between the City, as Landlord, and the Fairfax Police
Youth Club, Inc., at Tenant, extending the term under the Ground Lease through August
31, 2020, for a portion of Providence Park, located at 10615 Canfield Street, Tax Map No.
57-3-01-007, subject to the conditions and restrictions contained in such First Amendment
to Ground Lease. The form of such First Amendment to Ground Lease shall be
substantially of the form attached to this Ordinance, subject to such reasonable
modifications as made by the City Manager and the City Attorney.
This ordinance shall become effective as provided by law.
