RESOLUTION NO. R -12 -02
APPROVAL OF A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH TCF EQUIPMENT FINANCE FOR
THE LEASE /PURCHASE OF THREE TRASH TRUCKS
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the FY2011 Capital Budget including the lease
purchase of one (1) "2012 Freightliner Model M2 106 Chassis, with J &J Aluminum Dump
Body, mounted ODB Model SKB 650/700 Leaf Collector" with annual payments of
$30,803.64 to be paid for five consecutive years, subject to annual appropriation by the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, this truck is needed to replace the truck currently in inventory, which has
i + exceeded its current useful life in addition to having numerous safety and mechanical issues.
In order to maintain leaf collection services for the citizenry while maximizing the safetti and
1' effectiveness of the staff in the Refuse and Recycling Division of the Public works
I Department, a replacement truck is needed.

NOW, THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax.
Virginia, that the City Manager is authorized and directed to finalize and execute any
necessary documentation in connection with the above - referenced transaction, in form
approved by the City Attorney.

�' BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Fairfax. Virginia
hereby approves and ratifies each of the resolutions contained in that certain Resolution and
Certificate of Incumbency to the extent not already contained within this resolution.
