ORDINANCE NO. 2011 -16
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 54, ARTICLE I, SECTION 54 -4(c) OF
THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, PERTAINING TO
PROHIBITED USES OR ACTIVITIES ON OR ABOUT THE CITY'S RESERVOIRS
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that Chapter 54,
Article I, Section 54 -4(c) of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, pertaining to prohibited
uses or activities on our about the City's reservoirs, is hereby amended, as follows:
Sec. 54 -4. Beaver Dam Creek Reservoir; Goose Creek Reservoir; curfew; prohibited
activities.
(c) The following activities shall be prohibited upon or in the lands, buildings,
premises or waters of both the Goose Creek Reservoir and the Beaver Dam Creek
Reservoir, or any part, portion or area thereof:
(1) Hunting;
(2) Swimming;
(3) Discharging firearms;
(4) Using boats or other equipment with gasoline - powered engines, except
for reasons of safet _ and then onl if a.•roved in writing in advance
by the cif mana_er or his designee.
This ordinance shall become effective as provided by law.
