AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30, ARTICLE II, DIVISION I, SECTION
30 -31(2) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, PERTAINING TO
• THE RELOCATION OF PRECINCT #2 POLLING LOCATION FROM THE
POLICE STATION TO THE SHERWOOD COMMUNITY CENTER
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that Chapter 30,
Article II, Division I, Section 30 -31(2) of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia pertaining
to the relocation of Precinct #2 polling location from the Police Station to the Sherwood
Community Center, is hereby amended, as follows:
Sec. 30 -31. - Boundaries of voter election precincts; polling places.
The boundaries for the voter election precincts in the city and the
locations of the polling places shall be as follows:
(2) Precinct two. Beginning at a point marking the intersection of Main
Street (Route 236) and Old Lee Highway at a midpoint in the road,
following a northeasterly direction along Old Lee Highway until it
intersects with Rebel Run at a midpoint in the road: following Rebel
Run until it intersects with Fairfax Boulevard (Routes 29 and 50) at a
midpoint in the road; following Fairfax Boulevard in a westerly
direction until it intersects with Main Street in the vicinity of Kamp
Washington; then proceeding in a southeasterly direction on Main
Street until it intersects with Old Lee Highway at a midpoint in the
road. The polling place is located at 3740 Old Lee Highway.
This ordinance shall become effective as provided by law.
