APPROVAL
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE
CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA TO CHANGE THE FUTURE LAND USE
MAP FROM MEDIUM T RESIDENTIAL ROPERTY TO

TRANSITION USE FOR OF
FAIRFAX TAX MAP PARCEL 57 -4 -02 -022
WHEREAS, Mehrdad Assadi has requested an amendment to the Future Land Use map of
the Comprehensive Plan to include City of Fairfax tax map parcel 57 -4 -02 -022 currently
designated on the map as medium density residential and requested by the applicant for
change to business — office transition use; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after carefully considering the request and the
testimony received at public hearing, has determined that the proposed amendment is proper
and in accordance with the applicable provisions of law, the City Code and the
Comprehensive Plan guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on January 10, 2011 adopted a resolution, pursuant to
§15.2 -2225 of the Code of Virginia, recommending approval of the amendment to the
Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after carefully considering the testimony received at public
hearing, the recommendation from the Planning Commission and the recommendation from
staff, has determined that the proposed amendment is proper and in accordance with the
applicable provisions of law;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Fairfax Comprehensive Plan
Future Land Use map is hereby amended to Business — Office Transition Use for City of
Fairfax tax map parcel 57 -4 -02 -022.
The motion to adopt the resolution was approved on February 8, 2011.
