APPROVAL OF A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH TCF EQUIPMENT FINANCE FOR
THE LEASE /PURCHASE OF THREE TRASH TRUCKS
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the FY2011 Capital Budget including the
lease purchase of three (3) "Mack Granite" series, tandem axle trash trucks with "Heil 5000"
packers with annual payments of $130,000 to be paid for five consecutive years, subject to
annual appropriation by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, these trash trucks are needed to replace outdated and unreliable trash
trucks to adequately maintain Refuse and Recycling services for the citizenry, while
maximizing the effectiveness of the staff in the Refuse and Recycling Division of the Public
Works Department ; and
NOW, THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that the City Manager is authorized and directed to finalize and execute any
necessary documentation in connection with the above - referenced transaction, in form
approved by the City Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia hereby approves and ratifies each of the resolutions contained in that certain
Resolution and Certificate of Incumbency to the extent not already contained within this
resolution.
