A RESOLUTION TO NAME A TRAIL AND LAND OWNED BY THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX BETWEEN RANGER ROAD AND CHAIN BRIDGE ROAD ALONG THE
ACCOTINK CREEK AS THE GEORGE T. SNYDER JR. TRAIL AND OPEN SPACE.
WHEREAS, George T. Snyder provided extraordinary service to the City as a Civic Leader
serving as a member of the School Board from 1981 to 1983 and as Mayor from 1983 to
1990; and
WHEREAS, George T. Snyder Jr. was a resident of the Mosby Woods
Community which is adjacent to this land;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Fairfax, VA. hereby
names a trail and the land owned by the City of Fairfax between Ranger Road and Chain
Bridge Road as the George T Snyder Jr. Trail and Open Space.
