AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE
CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA TO CHANGE THE FUTURE LAND USE
FROM MEDIUM RESIDENTIAL TO MIXED USE FOR THE PROPERTY
IDENTIFIED AS CITY OF FAIRFAX TAX MAP PARCELS 57-3-02: 031A,
31B, 031C, 031D, 032, AND 037
WHEREAS, The Johnson A. Edosomwan, LLC, has requested an amendment to the Future
Land Use map of the Comprehensive Plan to include City of Fairfax tax map parcels 57-3-02:
031A, 3113, 031C, 031D, 032, and 037 currently designated on the map as medium density
residential and requested by the applicant for change to mixed use; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after carefully considering the request and the
testimony received at public hearing, has determined that the proposed amendment is proper
and in accordance with the applicable provisions of law, the City Code and the
Comprehensive Plan guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on April 26, 2010 adopted a resolution, pursuant to
§15.2-2225 of the Code of Virginia, recommending approval of the amendment to the
Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after carefully considering the testimony received at public
hearing, the recommendation from the Planning Commission and the recommendation from
staff, has determined that the proposed amendment is proper and in accordance with the
applicable provisions of law;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, that the City of Fairfax Comprehensive Plan
Future Land Use map is hereby amended to Mixed Use for City of Fairfax tax map parcels 57-
3-02: 031A, 3113, 031C, 031D, 032, and 037.
This ordinance shall be effective as provided by law.
