AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE A REAL ESTATE SALES CONTRACT WITH MHI-OLD TOWN
FAIRFAX, L_L_C_, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, FOR CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY,
TOGETHER WITH IMPROVEMENTS THEREON, LOCATED AT 3915 CHAIN
BRIDGE ROAD (TAX MAP NO. 57-2-02-166_
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of certain real property, together with improvcn~e nts
thereon, located at 3915 C7hain Bridge Road, Fairfax, Virginia (`fax Map No. 57-2-02-166
the "Property"~; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, following review of responses to the City's April 11, 2009
Kcquest for Proposals for the Propcrty, has determined that rt is in the best interest of the City
to negotiate and enter into a Real Estate Sales Contract with MHl-Old Town Fairfax, L. L.C_
for the Property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that the City Manager is authorized to negotiate and execute a Real Estate Sales
Contract on behalf of the City with MHl-Old Town Fairfax, L_L.C. for the entirety of the
Property, such Real Estate Sales Contract to be in a fo rnz approved by the City Attorney, and
substantially of the draft Real Estate Sales Contract attached to this ordinance.
This ordinance shall become effective as provided by law.
