A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A TO"-'ING ADVISORY BOARD
PURSUANT TO VIRGINIA CODE SECTION 46.2-1217 FOR THE PURPOSE
OF ADVISING THE CITY COUNCIL "-'ITH RESPECT TO THE TERIVIS OF
A CONTRACT FOR POLICE-REQUESTED TO"-'ING SERVICES.

vehicles; and
"VVHEREAS" prior to entering into such a contract", Virginia Code Sectiorl 46_2-1217
requires the local goveming body to appoint an advisory board consisting of representatives
of local la"",,,"-enforcement agencies" tov...ring and recovery operators" arld the general public,. to
advise the governing body V'\Iith regard to the appropriate terms of the contract; and
""HEREAS" the City intends to contract for police-requested tOV'\ling services
pursuant to Virginia Code Section 46.2-1217", and in order to comply V'\Iith the requirernen.ts oT
the statute" hereby appoints a tOV'\ling advisory board.
NO"-'. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax that a Tov...ring Advisory Board is hereby established in accordance V\Tith Virginia Code
Section 46.2-1217 for the purpose or advising the City Council V'\Iith respect to the terms or a
contract for police-requested tOV\Tiug services.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax that the
rollovv-ing persons are hereby appointed to the ToV'Ving Advisory Board" V'Vho shall serve until
December 31,2010:
