V\THEREAS, Farrish of Fairfax, INC., has submitted Application No. SE-08030012
requesting the Special Exceptions to the City Code Section 110-181 (B) Table II. Regulations
for G-round-l\I1:ounted Business Signs.
'-"'VHEREAS, City Council has carefully considered the application, the
recommendation of the staff and testimony received at the public hearing; and
VVHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposed Special Exception is
appropriate because the proposal meets the req"Ldsites established by City of Fairfax Code
Sections 110-366 and 110-185 for the follovving reaSOllS:
1) The proposed signage is not a.:r1ticipated to affect the safety and movement of vehicula
trarfic on the subject property a.:r1d along l\t1:ain Street; and
2) The applicant has demonstrated that the requirements OT Division 7 present a uniqu
burden due to unusual lot shape.
NOV\T, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax
on this 11 day of November 2008, that Application No. SE-08030012 be and hereby is
APPROVED, as requested vvith the Tollovving conditions:
1. The proposed sign shall conform to the general location indicated on the plans by the
RBA Group, stamped and dated July 7,2008.
2. The existing billboard located at 3712 Roanoke Street shall be removed prior to any
permits being issued to construct the proposed sign.
