RESOLUTION NO. R-07-36
A RESOLUTION EXPANDING THE CITY OF FAIRFAX HUlVIAN
SERVICES COlVIlVIlTTEE TO INCLUDE THE CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE TO THE
FAIRFAX COlVIlVIUNITY COUNCIL ON HOlVIELESSNESS.
"VVHEREAS" the 1\,/[ayor and City Council recognize the inherent benefit or Clt:1.Zen
input to the effective delivery of a VV"ide spectrum of human services provided contractually to
the citizens of the City of Fairfax; and
VVHEREAS, Fairfax County has instituted a Community Council on Homelessness
vvhich includes a representative from the City of Fairfax; aI1d
VVHEREAS, the individual representatives of the City on regional and county boards
and commissions have benefited from the regular opportunity for collaboration provided
through the City"s Human Services Commit"tee; and
VVI-IER.EAS, the meetings or the Human Services Committee have afforded the
individual representatives to regional boards and commissions "VVith a forum to enhance and
support their positions on behal-r o-r the City"
NOVV. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the 1VIayor and City Council do
hereby expand the membership of the City of Fairfax Human Services Committee to include
the City"s representative to the Fairfax Community Council on Homelessness.
