RESOLUTION NO. R-06-10
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY lVIANAGER. TO EXECUTE A
FOURTH AlVIENDlVIENT TO LEASE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY EXTENDING
THE CURRENT LEASE ","ITH lVIAIN STREET CHILD DEVELOPlVIENT CENTER.
INC., FOR APPROXIlVIATELY EIGHT THOUSAND (8,000) SQUARE FEET OF
SPACE IN THE FORlVIER GREEN ACRES ELElVIENTARY SCHOOL FOR AN
ADDITIONAL ONE YEAR.
VVHEREAS" on rvlay 14,. 2002" the City Coun.cil authorized the City I'Vlanager to
execute a Lease '\Nith 1\I1:ain Street Child Developmer1t Center, Inc., for a portion of the -Former
Green Acres ElerTI_cn..tary Seh.ool for use as a nursery school; and
VVI-IEREAS,. the initial term of the Lease vvas for tvv-o years, ending on Jurlc 30.. 2004;
and
VVHEREAS, the City and lV1:ain Street Child Development Center executed a First
Amendment to Lease on June 13".2002.. extending the term of the Lease Tor an additional six
months", to December 3 I" 2004; and
"VVHEREAS.. the City and J\l[ain Street Child Development Center executed a Second
Amendment: to Lease on April 3, 2003, extending the term of the Lease for an additional
tvvelve months,. to December 31" 2005; and
",,"I-IE RE AS " the City and l'vlain Street Child Development Center executed a Tllird
Amendmen_t to Lease on August 18", 2004" extending the term of the Lease Tor an addition.al
six months" to June 30.. 2006; and
'VVHEREAS,. the City and l\/lain Street Child Developn"'1ent Center desire to extend the
term of the Lease for an additional one year" to June 13,. 2007" in accordance "-Vith the terms
and conditions set forth in the Fourth Amendment to Lease attached hereto.
NO"'", THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that thc City
lV1anager is authorized to execute a Fourth Amendrr1e1"'1t to Lease on behalf of the City
extending the current Lease vvith :rv1:ain Street Child Developn"'1ent Center.. Inc." for
approximately eigl""1t thousand (8,,000) square feet of space in the former Green Acres
Elementary School for an additional one year" to June 13" 2007.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fourth Amendment to Lease shall be in the
form attached hereto and made a part hereoT.
