RELATIO~S VVITH CITY STAFF
V\THEREAS, the City Council ror the City of Fairfax has need ror detailed information
Oll a V\Tide range or subj eets in a timely arld efficient manner; and
V\THEREAS, the City boards, commission and committees have need ror detailed
in'formatiou on matters under their jurisdiction in a timely and efficient manner; and
V\THEREAS, staff personnel also must provide continuing a.r1d respoI1sive service to
ongoing functions and citizen requirements;
~OVV, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. The l\I[ayor and City Council shall direct requests ror support and conduct their liaison
vvith the City staff through the City J'V1anager or his designee; and
2. The chairs or the boards, commission and committees shall direct requ.ests ror support
and conduct: their liaison vvith the City staff through the City l\Ilanager or his designee;
and
3_ The City l\I1:anager shall inform the l\I1:ayor and City Council of requests from boards
and commissions of a non-routine nature; and
4_ The City :M:anager or his designee shall coordinate such requests, including
determining staff availability, establishing priorities, informing the requestor of the
time requirement and other considerations relating to the response" an..d consideration
of,-",ider dissemination of the respoTlse(s).
