DESIGNATION OF FY 2006-07 REVENUE SIIARING PROGRAlVI FUNDS
At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City or Fairfax, Virginia"
Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at vvhich meeting a quorum vvas present and voting" the
Iol1o""ing resolution V\Ta.s adopted.
",,"UEREAS, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has indicated
that the City may designate up to $500,000 in City funds to be matched by FY 2006-07
VDOT Revenue Sharing Program Funds, for improvements to the City's Urban Road
Systems" and
~IIEREAS, the City of Fairfax desires to fully participate in the FY 2006-07
VDOT Revenue Sharing Program, and
"V\THEREAS" VnOT has requested that these funds be designated ror specific
projects;
NO~, TIIEREFORE, IT BE RESOLVED, that the City of the City of
Fairfax, hereby designates a maximum of $220,,000 in FY 2006-07 VnOT Revenue Sharing
Funds and $220,,000 in matching City funds from the City" s general funds, for a total of
$440,000, tovvards funding the design of the follovving projects:
