AN ORDINANCE AJVl:ENDING AND READOPTING CHAPTER 90, ARTICLE XI,
SECTION 90-436 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA,
PERT AINING TO THE ADDITIONAL TAX IJVl:POSED UPON REAL PROPERTY
AND IlVIPROVElVIENTS LOCATED ~ITHIN THE FAIRFAX BOULEVARD

BE IT ORDAINED. by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that Chapter 90.
Article XI,. Section 90-436 of the Code of the City of:- Fairfax" Virginia" is hereby an-'len.ded
and readopred in i1:g entirety as folloVV"s:
Sec. 90-436. Additional 'tax imposed.
To provide for additional governrn.ental services V\Tithin th..c Fairfax Boulevard BID" effective
on July 1" 2005" "there is hereby levied a tax of $0.06 per $100.00 or assessed valuation c>-t~ real
estate and improvements thereon located in the Fairfax Boulevard BID as defined by section
90-437. Effective on January 1" 2008" the levy imposed in the immediately preceding
sentence shall be reduced to $0.01 per $100.00. Effective on Ja.nuary 1" 2009., the levy
imposed shall be reduced to $0.00 per $100.00. Valuation and assessments of real property"
timing '-Vith respect to valuation,. assessmen1: and payment:,. penal1:ies and in1:erest on
delinquencies,. assessment of nevv construction,. and all other procedures for and details of
administration and collection of the tax imposed by this article shall be the same as provided
for by the Code of the City of Fairfax,. Virginia,. for collection of real estate taxes generally.
This ordinance shall be effective as of January I,. 2009,. as provided by laV\f.
