AN O~INANCE A~ENDING SECTION 102-31 OF THE CODE OF TFIE CITY OF
FAI:RFAX, VIFl.GINIA, TO INCREASE TFIE VVATER AND SEVVER SERVICE RATE BY

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairf:ax, Virginia, that Section 102-3 I,
Article II,. Chapter 102 ot- the Code of -the City of Fairfax,. Virginia is amended to read in its
entirety as folloVV's:
Sec. 102-31 ~a.t;er and sevver service rat;es
(a) The rate for VV'"ater service furnished by the city shall be as follov..rs:
(1) Re..<iddent:ial conSUff1ers: For the first 5,,000 gallons or less per quarter $19.26 and per
1,000 gallons for all vvater in excess of 5,000 gallons $3 _69_
(2) C~oTnrnercial conSUnlers: For the first 5,,000 gallons or less per month $22.64 and per
1,.000 gallons for all vvater in excess of 5,,000 gallons $3.69.
(b) The rates tor sevver service furnished by the city shall be 89.6 percent of the computed
