BE IT O:RI>AINED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that Chapter 90,
Article X, Section 90-422 of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, is hereby amended and
readopted in its entirety as Iollo'-Vs:
Sec. 90-422. .Addi'tional t:ax imposed.
To provide ror additional governmental services vvithin the Old TOVVI1 Service District,
effective on January 1, 2000" there is hereby levied a tax of$O.125 per $100.00 or assessed
valuation of real estate and improvements thereon located in the Old Tovvn Service District as
defined by Section 90-423. Effective on January 1" 2008, the levy imposed in the
immediately preceding sentence shall be reduced to $0.06 per $100.00. Valuation and
assessments of real property" timing V\Tith respect to valuation,. assessment and payr11ent,.
penalties and interest on delinquencies,. assessment ofneV\T construction,. and all other
procedures for and details of administration and collection of the tax imposed by this article
shall be the same as provided for by the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, -ror collection of
real estate taxes generally.
This ordinance shall be effective as of January 1,2008, as provided by laV\T.
