2007-13 ORDINANCE NO_ 2007-13 AN ORDINANCE AlVIENDING CHAPTER 26, SECTION 26-4 OF THE conE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, PERTAINING TO COURTHOUSE SECURITY FEES BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that Chapter 26, SectioTI 26-4 of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, is hereby deleted in its entirety a.:nd replaced VV"ith the folloVV"ing: CHAPTER 26- COURTS Sec-tion 26-4... Court:house security fee. (a) In-lpo.sicion~ Cln-zQUnc. In addition to ar1Y other fee or cost prescribed by laV'\/", vvhenever fees are: taxed as costs in a criminal or traffic case in the general district court of the city in V\Thich the defenda:n.t is convicted of a violation of a.n.y statu.te or ordina.:nce, there is hereby assessed a fee of $1 0.00. Such fees shall be assessed as other fees are "taxed in criminal or traffic cases. (b) Adnziniscrat:ion. The fees imposed pursuant to this section shall be charged and collected by the clerk of the general district court for the city in the same manner as other fees are charged arld collected in such cases. The fees shall be remitted by the clerk to the city treasurer a.n.d held by the treasurer subject to disbursements by the city council for the funding of courthouse security personnel in accordance vvi"th Code of Virginia". 9 53.1-120.
