AN ORDINANCE AlVIENDING SECTION 102-31 OF T~E CODE OF THE CITY
OF FAIR.FAX. VIR.GINIA. TO INCR.EASE THE ~ATER. AND SE~ER. SERVICE

1. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that Section 102-
31" Article II, Chapter 1 02 of the Code of the City or Fairfax" Virginia is amended to read
in its entirety as rollov..Ts:
Sec.. 102-31 ~at:er and se",er service rat:es
(a) The rate for v..rater service fumished by the city shall be as follov..ts:
(1) Residenrial consU/ners: For the first 5,000 gallons or less per quarter $16.36 and per 1,,000
gallons for all v..rater in excess of 5,,000 gallons $3.14.
(2)
Ccnnrnercial consumers: For the first 5,.000 gallons or less per month $19.24 and per
1,000 gallons ror all vv-ater in excess of 5,.000 gallons $3.14.
(b)
The rates -ror sevver service fumished by the city shall be 89.6 percent of the computed
V\Tuter service rate; provided, that apartment buildings v.rill be billed at a minimum
sev.rer rate of $11.46 per dv.relling unit per month
